Sherry's architectural bent drew her to NYC, fascinated by the developing cityscape and gentrification's effects on the Lower East Side.

Examine the new & old architecture of the city.

We'll start in the Lower East Side and explore the neighborhood's eccentric tenements, fire escapes, and iconographic new structures. From the New Museum to Tschumi's Blue Tower, from the Cooper Union's Sustainable Morphosis building to Stephen Holl's Storefront for Art and Architecture, we will discuss cultural reactions to the area's gentrification and piece together the narrative uniting these individual buildings.

For: For the explorer who needs to know more, architecture buffs, photographers, and those wanting a local's perspective on this part of the city

Cost Includes:

Friendly, knowledgable tour guide.
