Real village in Paris, famous all over the world, Montmartre conveys a picturesque image of the life in Paris.
"Mount of Mars and Mercury" or "Mount of the Martyrs" according to the historians, Montmartre, situated in the North of Paris, keeps numerous tracks of a history spread over several centuries. Crowded with visitors almost all year long, it can be the opportunity of a great romantic walk on the tracks of the artists who frequented its streets, cafés, studios and cabarets....

I went to school there at the age of 7, and have been living in different areas of the district during about 30 years. Fan of "my district", it will be a pleasure to have a stroll with you among its major streets, to show you spots and hidden gardens and places, to tell you about its history and the Parisian "Boheme" way of life.
Fan of the movie "Amelie", I will take time to show you some of the main places of the movie, from the "Café des 2 moulins" to "Epicerie Colignon". (If possible, watch the movie before doing the tour ! ;-) )

I am a professional tourist guide and make the visit in english, italian or french. Tapering rates for families and groups (4 people and more).

I thoroughly enjoyed my tour of Montmartre with Carolyn. She was great at communicating before we met and answered all the questions I had. Her directions for meeting for our tour were clear and easy to follow. We met early enough in the day that there were not a lot of tourist about which made the tour more enjoyable for me. She told me personal stories of her life growing up in the neighborhood, as well as showing me key spots that were featured in the movie "Amalie". Carolyn is warm and engaging, and we had a great time. She even gave me tips on buying cheeses! This was a really fun way to meet a French person and learn a little more about her city.
