Enjoy the best view over Kuala Lumpur's skyline only 20 minutes away from the city center! A 3-hour challenging hike with some easy rock climbing for the nature lovers and thrill-seekers alike!
The trek is a 3-hours challenging loop with impressive drops and some rock climbing portions.
We will exit through the orchard where you can see and taste the local fruits (seasonal) the monkeys haven't eaten yet.
The Dragon's Backbone is a rugged and long protruding quartz ridge that spans across and divides a reserved jungle zone and modern developments. It is part of the Klang Gates Quartz Ridge, the quartz dyke, with the dimension of more than 16 km long and 200m wide, is the longest of its kind in the world.
Once up on these ridges, you'll feel like you've stumbled upon a secret sweet spot with a spectacular view of a lake circled by and dense rainforest on one side and the city skyline on the other.
Arriving just after sunrise, you may witness the solar rays protruding through the clouds from behind the tallest peak or a surreal scenery of the lake being swallowed by a white cotton sea.

Hi there, my name is Mat and I have been trekking the Malaysian jungle together with the Orang Asli (the indigenous people of Malaysia) for the last 8 years. I am originately from France but I have settled in Malaysia and married a Malaysian girl. I can speak Malay fluently. Ask the locals and they will tell you that I know the country better than them! From a night in a cave, a dip in a local waterfall, a bite at some quirky food (buffalo's penis soup, monitor lizard, snake and more) to cultural insights, survival tips and information about the fruits, animals and plants of the jungle, you can be sure that you will learn a lot more about the country than you would expect from a foreigner ;) Full profile ⋅ Leave a Review
