The Foodie walking tour starts at 5pm and last 3.5 to 4 hours, visiting up to six venues for tastings.
Our tours take you through the historical heart of the city while allowing you the time to sample food and drink from some of Edinburghs unique restaurants, shops and bars.
Between premises your guide will point out interesting sights of the city and give advice on other places to visit after your tour is over. You will have headsets that allow you to walk at your own pace and take photos while still hearing what your guide has to say.
We have chosen from some of the best restaurants, bars and shops in Edinburgh but have only scratched the surface of what Edinburgh has to offer.
The locations chosen are unusual and many have a story to tell in their own right.
The majority of places we visit you will enjoy Scottish hospitality but we do throw in one or two surprises along the way.
Most people find they do not require dinner after taking the tour
Special dietary needs can be catered for.
Having worked in the hospitality industry for over thirty years and having enjoyed an excellent foodie walking tour in Seattle, USA in 2010, I decided it was time Edinburgh had it's own foodie walking tour. I set the tours up four years ago and we have gone from strength to strength. It combined my knowledge of food and drink with my passion for the history of Edinburgh. I now work with like minded people to take visitors and locals on walking tours of Edinburgh to enjoy some out of the way stops tasting local and not so local food and drink. .
