A 3 hours tour that will show you all the best coffee shops and roasteries in Soho and Fitzrovia - London.
Soho was the area picked by Italian immigrants in the 50's to open coffee bars and houses, a novelty at that time for the UK.
We will look at the traces still available of that coffee scene and how it has developed in the modern days.
In the last 6 years London has become the top coffee destination in Europe thanks to development of a new wave of speciality coffee.
We will sample coffee brewed in filter style and espresso prepared in front of your eyes from the best baristas in town.
Expect to exchange tips and opinions on coffee with me and the baristas that will be at the counter.
Origins, extractions, brew ratios.... all the geekiness is included but also some fun when you will learn all the tips about latte art and how the patterns are made on your "microfoamed" flat white.
Samples of coffee are included.
Food is not included.
Born in Italy, settled in London 14 years ago. I never leave my Vespa longer than a night.... I like to live the city on 2 wheels. I'm an architect and digital designer that has embraced the route to roasting the perfect coffee and today I have my own brand with 2 outlets in central London and a roastery in Italy. I know the whole coffee scene inside out and lots of friends in the industry. I have been part of events such as London Coffee Festival with La Marzocco, Birra Moretti Gran Tour, Street Feast, Dalston Department Store... I was ranked #3 in UK Coffee in good spirit championship (2013). I've also developed a metal filter for the aeropress and organised the very first Italian aeropress championship. I've also been part of the first Norvegian aeropress championship and a judge of the Scottish aeropress championship in 2013. - www.terrone.co.uk Full profile ⋅ Leave a Review
