Historical hike through the defensive line of Tarragona's city on Napoleonic wars.

You will discover another view of the history of Tarragona that not appears on tourist info. We are going to start on Oliva's Hill to discover how important was this place to keep away Napoleonic troops on the Siege of Tarragona on 1811. Next step will be hiking until the small and nice hermitage of Llorito. When we get there, we will discover the basis of a fortress builded to protect Tarragona against french troops and finally we will go to the unknown (even for Tarragona's people!) and small Ermitan's fortress where we will delight for a nice view of Tarragona's landscape.

I'm living in Tarragona, Catalonia. This city has many cultural and historical interests, specially in roman culture but also in medieval and XVIII and XIX centuries with great monuments to show and explain. I have been teacher for more than 10 years and I like history. Mixing up those elements provide you a good service to explain and discover my town with all that you need to know about the place you are visiting. Full profile Leave a Review
