The Route 66 Tour is probably the coolest photography experience you will ever try. We will stop at many historic landmarks from start to finish. Photographing old diners, gas stations, and many very cool iconic Route 66 places along our driving tour.
The tour will start in Chicago, at Buckingham Fountain. That is where the start of route 66 is. Then we will follow old route 66 southwest towards Wilmington, home of the Green Gentle Giant Muffler Man. From there, we can stop at an iconic diner for a quick bite, then move on.
Kevin, who has been shooting for 37 years will be your guide and instructor for anyone who needs assistance in learning how to shoot and teach you the fundamentals of your camera to help you get great images.
Kevin has won many international awards over the years for his work, and published in many places. If your looking for a laid back atmosphere, and just plain fun, don't miss this tour.
The prices are per car, because you might want to bring your significant other to have someone to talk to, a designated driver to take in the sites but not interested in shooting, or want to bring the whole family, including the kids. I will have my assistant (Vickie) with me who will keep an eye on the kids for short periods of time while we shoot, or I am showing you some easy to learn camera fundamentals and techniques.
If your visiting Chicago or Illinois, don't miss this tour. It will be by far the best thing you and the family did during your stay.
Please contact me ahead of time, with any questions, time , date, and location.
Must have a minimum of 3 paid clients per tour.
Kevin OConnell Photography | Tours & Workshops I am a professional photographer who has traveled the world to discover unique cultures, cities, and see fascinating remote landscapes. I work out of Chicago at present, and give a few types of Photography tours and workshops in the city. These are for both the beginner to advanced photographers wanting to learn advanced techniques. I also have a very special Route 66 Photography Tour for those that want to be on their own or bring the whole family. This one is probably my favorite because of all the amazing historical, iconic, and nostalgic sites from beginning to end. Its also a 6 hour tour. The beauty of the route 66 tour is, I only charge by the car, not per person. Full profile ⋅ Leave a Review
