No visit to Cape Town is complete without a hike up Lion's Head. You set the pace on this guided run or walk up one of South Africa's most iconic summits and the Mother City's best vantage point.
As your guide, I'll point out the best photo opportunities of Cape Town, Table Mountain, Signal Hill, Camps Bay, Robben Island, the Waterfront, Twelve Apostles and Lion's Head itself. I'll also show you my favorite hidden caves and introduce you to the diverse Cape Floral Kingdom.
We can climb via the chains and ladders or take a gentler path. The choice is yours.
Even at a slower pace, Lion's Head is physically challenging, and this trip is not for the faint of heart. Bring plenty of water, sunblock, sunglasses and a hat.
Hikes start on Signal Hill Rd (specific address/GPS coordinates upon booking confirmation). For runs, we can start there, at the Sea Point Pavilion (~6km to summit, ~700m elevation), or at trail heads in Fresnayne or Bantry Bay. Total trip takes 2-3 hours depending on pace.
