Austinites love their parks and you'll find all the local culture you could hope for by putting on your sneakers and walking. From the famous Zilker Park to the gorgeous views at Mt. Bonnell, this tour will get you out into the 300 days of sunshine that Austin is known for.

We'll go for a walk at Zilker Park first, followed by the best downtown skyline views at Auditorium Shores. Then we'll head to historic Mayfield Park to roam with peacocks and climb over rocks. We'll finish with Mt. Bonnell, where a short hike will take us to one of the highest points in Austin with an amazing view over the entire city. There will be great photo opportunities throughout the tour and I'm happy to provide photos!

Bring comfortable walking shoes and please be patient with parking as it can get very busy on the weekends! Transportation is included within the city.

Optional add-ons:
1: Go for a swim at Barton Springs (near Zilker). The all-natural springs are always cold and perfect for a summer swim!
2: Visit Bull Creek Park for some waterfalls and possibly a swim in the creek, if you want to.
3: Hike up to a lookout point over the Pennybacker Bridge, a famous bridge over the Colorado River.

My name is Anna, I'm a born-and-raised Texan. I moved to Austin four years ago for school and fell in love with the city! I went to UT and graduated in 2015 with a degree in journalism. My husband and I travel a lot, but whenever I'm in town I spend most of my time outdoors or going to UT sports events. As a traveler myself, I really value personal experiences and hope to provide that for you too! I want to share the beautiful and unique parks and sites around Austin and show you why I love this place (and why everyone keeps calling it the best place to live!). Full profile Leave a Review
