Come visit one of the largest and most beautiful campuses in Texas! The University of Texas at Austin is a very important part of the city and the entire state. Check out this amazing campus and visit it's best sites, hang-out spots, and sports stadiums.
As a recent graduate from UT, I know the campus very well and can share my personal stories from going to school there.
We'll start our tour at the famous Tower, with a view of the Texas State Capital building and some history about the university. We'll visit the drag, a popular student hang-out, as well as some of the most popular buildings such as the student center and the library. We'll visit the outside of the enormous Darrell K. Royal football stadium and finish our tour with a visit to the university store for souvenirs (I am not affiliated with the store, it's just a great spot) and then go to an awesome view over the entire campus - perfect for photos! If you visit during the week, you can get a great feel for the campus as students hurry between classes.
Bring good walking shoes, the campus is huge! Transportation within the city is included.
Optional add-on: get a meal and/or a beer at a local diner on the drag.
My name is Anna, I'm a born-and-raised Texan. I moved to Austin four years ago for school and fell in love with the city! I went to UT and graduated in 2015 with a degree in journalism. My husband and I travel a lot, but whenever I'm in town I spend most of my time outdoors or going to UT sports events. As a traveler myself, I really value personal experiences and hope to provide that for you too! I want to share the beautiful and unique parks and sites around Austin and show you why I love this place (and why everyone keeps calling it the best place to live!). Full profile ⋅ Leave a Review
