Central Melbourne DOESN'T have it all! Let's jump on a ferry and head to Williamstown. We get to explore Melbourne from a different perspective, ON THE WATER! Cruise roughly 50 minutes. We make our way down the Yarra River, which flows into Hobsons Bay. AND guess what we find?? A quaint little coastal suburb of Melbourne with it's own cafe culture, waterfront views, parks, water wildlife and a great beach for those who want to kick off their shoes and play! I take you on a walking tour around Williamstown, sharing with you it's history , when the town came to life in 1835 and it's transformation along the way! It was a wild place back then - and we still hear "ghost stories", such as that of the Pastor who died but still comes back to oversee his "flock". This walking tour is heaps of fun, very laid back and offers 4-5 hours of easy walking, entertainment, scrummy lunch and morning or afternoon tea. Price is inclusive of travel, snacks, lunch and of course that coffee/cake! We train it back to Melb.
Hi, I'm Kathie a born and bred local of Melbourne. I've had an exciting life to date, living abroad and travelling to many other countries, both independently and with friends. I know from experience, the experiences we have when travelling hinge on so many factors, many out of our control. It's great to see the things we learn about from the tourist brochures, but isn't it great when we find that "gem" of a place only the locals seem to know of? I know when I travel, I like to mix with the "locals" and get a feel for the way they live. This is part of the excitement of travelling. So come with me and let me introduce you to the real Melbourne. Full profile ⋅ Leave a Review
