Embark from Salerno on a full day, private boat excursion through the heart of the Amalfi Coastline. This is the perfect way to experience the beauty of this area. Lounge on the sundeck with your local captain at the wheel and cruise the coastline, discovering the idyllic fishing villages, hidden coves and sea caves, and the spectacular Mediterranean Sea.
Begin by cruising west, passing the fishing villages of Cetara, known for its delicious anchovies, along the coastline lined with rows of lemon groves climbing up the mountainside, and over to Maiori, where you will discover a sea cave full of stalactites. Enjoy a front row view of Torre Normana, a 14th century tower-turned top restaurant practically floating in the Mediterranean. From there you will have a breathtaking view of the famous music town Ravello, sitting high up on the mountain. Take a dip in the waterfall of Marmorata, once the energy source for a paper factory. On to Atrani and Amalfi, where you can explore a bit on land and visit the famous 9th century cathedral, the paper museum, and perhaps enjoy some of the famous Limoncello, made right here on the coast! Continue past Sophia Loren's villa in Conca dei Marini, past the Fjord in furore (the only fjord on the coastline and a must-see) and over to Praiano and Positano. The view of Positano from the sea is one of the most famous in the world. Stop for some free time to roam the cobblestone alleys, lined with high end boutiques and local craftsman.
Hungry? The captain will take you to a tiny, family operated seaside restaurant for lunch where the boat can pull up directly. This experience shows you the best of the coastline without the crowds. Your local captain gives you an insider experience and a memorable day.
