Get to know the historical and typical food of the city of Monterrey.
We start the day with a very typical breakfast in the city, your choice of traditional steam basket tacos in a very folkloric restaurant and meat market where you will also find a wide and delicious selection of regional treats and candies you can shop.
We continue our tour to 3 historical landmarks:
• Monterrey Cathedral, located down town
• La Purisima parish, located to the west of the cathedral, and
• Bishops Palace, seated on top of a hill of the same name, which also offers a wonderful view of the whole city and its mountains (get your panoramic cameras ready)
And find out how these 3 sites are connected and influenced the outcome of a historical battle
Finally, all that walking will certainly help build up your appetite needed for a very traditional lunch "cabrito" charbroiled kid or grilled beef steaks
