Deserted Railway Tunnel Hike

with Jessica R.

Jessica R.

Explore the old Fukuchiyama Railroad line on the outskirts of Takarazuka City. The hike will go through a series of seven tunnels, passing by a beautiful river gorge and over an old railway bridge, before finally arriving in the hot spring town of Takedao Onsen. We can take a bath after the hike in one of the hot springs, or dip our feet into a foot spa located in town. Lunch will be at a small family run lodge after the hike, where we will have a chance to eat Wild Boar nabe (hot pot), a local specialty known as Botan Nabe. Make sure to bring a little courage, because some of the tunnels are especially long and pitch black.

The wild boar meal is included in the price of this trip!

Pickup at Takarazuka Station, Ticket from Takarazuka to Namaze Station, Snacks for while we are on the hiking trail, flashlight rental, Botan Nabe (wild boar hot pot) Lunch, and a knowledgeable tour guide!
