Come and experience a taste of San Francisco that you won't find in a guide book or see from a tour bus.
The Russian Hill Coffee Trail takes you from the city's newest hip cafe to it's oldest. Along the way, you will learn about the history of Russian Hill, its famous inhabitants, and its best kept secret (hint: ice cream).
Stage 1: Wake up! Your first cup of coffee is a single origin, sustainably sourced coffee from an award winning establishment. Try the famous cafe-tonic, cappuccino, or house made almond milk Latte. If you're feeling peckish, the hot-link croissant or banana bread are always crowd pleasers.
Stage 2: The Climb: Travel up through the heart of Russian Hill, exploring the architecture, parks, and famous inhabitants. See the steepest hill with views of Alcatraz (hint: it's not Lombard St.) and stand outside the house where was written a novel that defined a generation.
Stage 3: The Reward: No tour of Russian Hill is complete without a coffee-flavoured ice cream from the city's most famous store - one that established an empire. Choose between a waffle cone or an old-fashioned cup.
Stage 4: The Secret View: Not many people know about this vantage point from where you can see from the Golden Gate, across the bay to Coyt Tower. If your ice cream hasn't melted, this is a great stop-off before we start the descent.
Stage 5: The Descent: Make your way down the most famous street in San Francisco, selfie stick in hand. Don't worry if you miss a shot, we'll make sure to record some stunning footage as you go down those steps.
Stage 6: The Irish Goodbye: Take a left at the bottom of Lombard Street and make your way to the most famous bar in SF. There is always an Irish Coffee waiting at the counter. As we say our goodbyes, you'll get a cheat sheet of the best places to eat in the area.
Hi there, my name is Kevin. I come from Ireland and I am living here in San Francisco chasing the start-up dream. In my spare time, I like showing friends and visitors around the city, checking out the local sushi and oyster joints and sampling the best coffee, whisky, and Guinness. Full profile ⋅ Leave a Review
