This tour will take you to see the most of Shanghai in a day: starting with Tianzifang, the Confucius Temple, a tea ceremony, The Bund, the Shanghai Arts and Craft Center, Pearl TV Tower, and on a Huangpu River Cruise.
What You Can Expect:
In the morning, we will take you to Tianzifang, an area known for its small craft stores, coffee shops, trendy art studios, French bistros, and narrow alleys. Here, you will see the creative side of Shanghai. The area was first built in the 1930s as a residential district, but oncemany artists moved in and started opening studios, the area became the epicenter or arts and crafts in Shanghai.
Afterwards, we’ll take you to the Confucius Temple, which was historically significant in promoting the doctrine of both Confucius and Mencius, as well as their disciples, through the city. Then we will go for lunch, where you’ll be able to try real Chinese food. Following lunch you’ll visit the Shanghai arts and crafts store, where you can get some souvenirs for friendsand family at home at reasonable prices.
After that, you’ll visit one of the highest towers in Shanghai: the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, one of the city’s greatest landmarks. This is also the third tallest TV and radio tower in the entire world, standing at 468 meters, which allows for a great bird’s eye view of the city. Before you head home, we’ll take you on a cruise on the Huangpu River, so you don’t only see the city from inside it, or above it, but also from its main life artery. This is a great opportunity to take some photos of Shanghai’s iconic skyline, especially as the sun sets and all the buildings turn on their lights.
