Indian Master Chef Josh will meet you at an Indian breakfast/lunch restaurant in San Jose to drink chai, eat a dosa, and create a menu together. Do you like spicy food? Veg or non veg? North Indian or South Indian? Street food, restaurant food, or home cooking?
You'll then follow him to an Indian grocery in San Jose and shop for ingredients together. You'll learn to pick out bitter melon, green mango, and drumstick (the vegetable drumstick, not the chicken kind). You'll pick out spices to take home to complete your collection. Josh will show you which brand of prepared Indian food is almost better than the real thing.
After that you'll head to the kitchen to prepare your meal. While listening to Indian music, you'll learn spicing techniques, how to cook Naan and other flatbreads, and how to prepare a full Indian dinner. After that you'll feast together on your creation and get a ride back to the meeting place.

Josh worked in the restaurant industry for 10 years and owned a catering company. He has studied cooking techniques in India, and has worked in Indian, BBQ, fine dining, and fusion restaurants.
