This tour is designed for curious travellers who want to discover more and don't want to just see the obvious attractions of Bergamo.
The itinerary includes all the main historical sites of the city (upper town) and winds through the streets of the medieval centre, in a location of great beauty and charm that includes a visit to the workshops of some of the historic craftspeople in the Città Alta.

Our tour will start from Piazza Mercato delle Scarpe, in the upper town, reached on the Funicular train which offers passengers spectacular views of the modern city.
•In the ancient Via Solata we will enter an upholstery workshop where we can admire the existing structures of an ancient medieval workshop.
•In one of the medieval Tower-Houses of Mercato del Fieno, we will observe the unfolding of the work of the ancient blacksmith shop.
•Piazza Vecchia, the main square of the old town, is spectacularly enclosed by the medieval Palazzo della Ragione.
•We will visit the workshop of a goldsmith who has worked for many years in the field of conservation and restoration of metallic artefacts and antique jewellery.
•In Piazza Duomo we encounter the most important religious buildings and authentic artistic masterpieces of the city: the Duomo; the Baptistery; the Basilica of St. Maria Maggiore and the Cappella Colleoni.
•We will visit a sacred tailoring atelier. Here liturgical robes are made with natural fabrics, and ancient holy vestments are restored. A small atelier that works primarily for the Vatican.
•Along Via Colleoni, we will enter a bakery workshop. The shop is renowned for the taste and quality of its products; a large varieties of bread, pizzas and delicious cakes.
•We will cross over Cittadella Viscontea, the medieval fortress. A striking passage between his medieval structures leads to the Adalberto tower and to Colle Aperto, the end point of the tour. (Price doesn't include Food, Drinks and admission ticket for the museums).
