We start this trek at the Seahorse statue on the malecon and from there we wind upward through the historic streets of el centro where we encounter a dirt path through a small section of jungle. After this we begin an epic climb up more than 200 stairs to a beautiful vista point known by locals as “La Cruz”. Here we will spend about 30 minutes taking photos, exploring the different terraces and vistas, and I will be available to take group photos and offering an intro to Tai Chi and Chi Gong energetic exercises for anyone who is interested. We will then take a different route down, passing over to the Isla Cuale cultural area, exploring the flea market and crossing a rope bridge over Rio Cuale to a favorite local bar where we’ll enjoy a well deserved cold drink (2 beers or 1 large Margarita or virgin Margarita included free). Those who wish to stay in the area may choose to do so, and those who wish to return to the seahorse statue can opt for the guided stroll back down to the malecon to that location, free of any additional charge.
I’m a 30 year old explorer, teacher and adventurer living in Puerto Vallarta. I’ve been in Vallarta for three years and have made many local friends here who have been kind enough to show me some incredible hikes and experiences. My passion has been sharing these experiences with friends and family over the last couple of years. I look forward to continuing to share these experiences with many more people. I also play Harmonica, Ukulele, practice Tai Chi, Yoga and Chi Gong and find great peace and pleasure doing those things! Full profile ⋅ Leave a Review
