Yes, let’s visit the hippest neighbourhood of Paris! No matter what you say about Le Marais –too expensive, too many fashion victims, too crowded– no complain could really overshadow the charm and beauty of its streets. The magic of Le Marais is that it is the most touristic yet at the same time the most original, the most Parisian and the most international district of Paris. So let's visit the mecca of trend and go beyond the hype through the most delicious spots, as Le Marais offers you the best food as well the best fashion and art.

Having been a freelance columnist, I was lucky enough to meet many authentic food-makers full of talent and soul and who settled down in Le Marais, some dating back to the 17th century, while some are brand new. Through this mouth-watering journey, we will meet the skillful hands and masterminds behind several delightful creations, such as a famous bread considered as national treasure since the 30’s, the world-renowned macarons with foie gras and caviar flavor, some grand-cru chocolate made by the Best Craftsman in France, the celebrated yet unpronounceable kouign-amann or even some exquisite French desserts with Syrian roots.

You will also learn some history and anecdotes along about the Marais and why this charming district has been attracting all kinds of people for centuries, from aristocracy, to artists, intellectuals, businessmen, tourists and of course Parisians!

I am a mega mix of everything. I am Chinese-French grew up in an international environment. While always working in Finance and travelling around the world for my job and my own thirst of discovery , I was also a freelance contributor to leading lifestyle media's and co-created a booking agency to promote French electronic musicians in Asia. These various experiences lead me to the most exciting happenings in the City of Light. I lived in all the hippest neighborhood in Paris, le Marais, Canal st martin, Parc Monceau and Belleville, with the time I accumulated good knowledge and network of artists, galleries, designers, food shops, concept stores, cocktail bars and other off-the-beaten-track address. I love Paris as a local but also as a tourist, I have a strong passion to find the best-kept-secret and a strong passion to share my personal addresses to the ones who are curious to discover the hidden gems and sensitive to culture and human contacts.
