Tour the Art Institute (home to classic works from Rembrandt to Picasso and Monet to Dali) or the Museum of Contemporary Art (for interesting, modern works by classic artists as well as current, up and coming artists) with a young art lover with a vast knowledge of art history. Or for more of an adventure, explore the city's art centered neighborhoods like River North and Fulton Market and browse the mulitiple galleries each has to offer. I'd also like to hear what you're interested in doing.
Staying close to downtown, we'll walk to the destination of your choice, exploring each till you feel that you've had a full experience and would like to move on to something else or call it a day. It will most likely take at least 4 hours. Depending on the day of the week, we can finish with a concert in Millennium Park.
I have a degree in photography and plan on returning to school to study art history. Art has been a big love of mine since I was a kid and have always wanted to be involved in the art world in some way, whether it be as an artist, working in a gallery or teaching others about art and I'm actually about to start an internship at an art gallery in the Fulton Market neighborhood. I love discussing art with others as well as discovering all the art that the city of Chicago has to offer. I'm try to go out on First and Second fridays as often as possible to explore galleries and see the new work they have out. Full profile ⋅ Leave a Review
