Let us introduce you to The Real Kiwi Way of Life at our wonderful home on the Banks Peninsula - the most prominent volcanic feature of the South Island of New Zealand, made up of numerous bays and coves, the two dormant craters now form the harbours of Lyttleton and Akaroa.
Imagine what it is like to sit with a glass of wine and listen to the sound of silence while watching for Hector Dolphins, or Orca Whales. Of course you don't have to relax, you can go mountain biking, (2 mountain bikes and helmets are at your disposal and own risk) walking, fishing, or visit Akaroa and the rest of the Banks Peninsula and take some wonderful photographs on the way (we have access to private land through contacts in the area for the purpose of photography). From the minute you arrive you will notice the peace and tranquility of the location, allowing you to unwind from your busy lives.
Of course no stay would be complete without us preparing you a 3 course dinner, accompanied with local wine, served alfresco, or inside, overlooking the bay and surrounding mountains. Completed in 2007, the house has spectacular views and boasts an outdoor entertaining area, including seating, wood fire, pizza oven, bbq and hot tub.
Our ambition was to have our own bit of paradise in New Zealand, somewhere where we could relax from running two busy restaurants in the U.K. After designing with our architects (and many years of building), we now have our little bit of paradise and would like to share it with you.
