Batambang is the arts capital of Cambodia. For the past 50 years, Batambang, a small French-colonial town has nurtured and introduced many famous Cambodian performance and visual artists

Located 2 hours – by road – from from the Thai border and Siem Reap (famous for the Angkor Wat), the small city boasts an art school (Phare Ponleu Selepak, a French NGO arts school, takes in poor children and street kids and nurtures the artists in them), 6 art galleries and more than 200 artists, both established and upcoming

The Batambang Arts Tour is designed specifically for students, collectors, dealers, curators and lovers of art. This tour will give you an insight into the arts community and industry of Batambang via visits to galleries, schools, studios, meet-ups with artists and watching the artisans hone their craft - covering contemporary , traditional, performance, sculpture, stone and wood art.

7.30am - Pick up at your hotel or guesthouse
7.35am - Breakfast at an art cafe.
8.30am - Tour 3 art galleries and 3 artist studios to catch Cambodian contemporary art in action . Current and upcoming artist will join us to help you understand their background and inspiration behind their art.
12 noon - Lunch within an artist ambiance
2.00pm - Boat trip up river to see traditional artists creating cultural art.
5.00pm - Sail back to the city, with a sunset on the way.
7.00pm - Watch some amazing world-class performance arts as well as meet arts students.
8:30pm - Tour ends and you are free to mingle with the art community.
