Are you a white wine freak? Is Chardonnay your grape of choice? If so, you have lots of company - and lots of great California wines to taste. On this tour, we'll visit two areas - Napa and Sonoma - tasting at three or more wineries that exemplify different styles and histories. If you're a Chardonnay lover, this is the tour for you.
Our tour visits only wineries with wines that are made from certified organic grapes as we don't "do" pesticides. California wineries overall dump more than 450,000 pounds of Roundup into our ecosystems every year. We don't want to encourage that behavior.
Included: guide services. Not included: food, tasting fees or transportation (I can arrange transport at discounted rates.)
This tour can also be expanded for larger groups. Contact me for details.
We'll drive by the vineyard where the Chardonnay that won the famous 1976 Paris Tasting was grown, and taste the winning winemaker's current vintages. We'll also see a new vineyard named for the Paris Tasting. Then we'll head to Sonoma to visit some ultra rustic boutique wineries known for their outstanding Chardonnay and casual charm.
Weather permitting, we'll pick up picnic supplies for a midday meal. In cooler weather, we will stop at a local spot for lunch.
