Friendship Fountain/Landing by Monorail

with James C.

Boarding at the Hemming Plaza Skyway Monorail Station we cross over the beautiful Saint Johns River with a view of the downtown waterfront. A short walk to the MOSH (Museum Of Science and History) and then behind the building to watch the synchronized-to-music, lighted color water display of Friendship Fountain. The Jacksonville Historical Center is next to the fountain and we can walk along the Riverside Boardwalk and take the River Taxi across to The Landing. Feeling hungry? The River City Brewing Company is a full service restaurant at the taxi landing of the riverside walk. Prefer to walk across Main Street Draw Bridge to watch boats pass beneath? That is Okay too. If the sights and indoor mall of Jacksonville Landing have not tired you out with its Maritime Museum and outdoor cafe dining we can walk over to the Central Library with its four story Grand Staircase and Art exhibits. Out the front door across Hemming Plaza with its chess board tables to catch a free concert some days.
