The West End - a Green Haven

Just steps away from the busy financial district, it’s hard to believe that such a peaceful and green neighborhood exists so close to downtown and the beach. Home to Canada’s largest gay community, this beautiful area has lots to offer. Many people know the West End, but I’m going to show you some hidden secrets that would be surprising even to Vancouverites. The West End is lovely in summer time and in my opinion has the most "summery" atmosphere on a hot day. This is a fun tour.

The first highlight is a classical Art Deco building that's unique in Vancouver, with a gorgeous lobby that feels like a temple when you enter inside. We can stop for a coffee at an adjacent café that's also modeled in Art Deco style. We will then head straight towards the West End, zigzagging our way through this green neighborhood and hitting all the hidden spots along the way. The tour ends at English Bay where you can spend the rest of the day enjoying the fun and sun, and maybe catching the sunset from the beach or a restaurant patio.

**The tour price does not include any food, as I prefer to leave you the freedom to choose what you want to get, as well as flexibility in where we go to eat and drink.

Hi, I’m Jordan, a local Vancouverite and an experienced traveler. When in a foreign city, my favorite thing to do is to explore areas that are “off the beaten path”, and to come across places I could never plan to discover. When in Vancouver, I do the same, and as a result, have discovered some pretty cool places. So in some way, I’ve become an expert in hidden spots around this city. I’ve created my tours in lovely neighborhoods that are generally not visited by tourists, but even more than that, I show you the hidden and offbeat side of these areas that even many Vancouverites don’t know. Each tour is designed to hit the highlights in that area and to follow the most beautiful streets that connect them, with a nice balance between sightseeing and good food. So come join me for an “off the beaten path” experience of Vancouver. Full profile

Jordan was very knowledgable about the city. It was our first time and he helped he get acquainted with the lay of the land. Jordan showed us some very old buildings as well as some hidden pathways that only locals know about. Great tour!
