An insider's guide to the best runs in San Francisco! Through knowledge gained with 10+ years running experience and over 2000 miles covered in SF, I share insight into training, tourism and the best routes for all levels of runners.
Tours include facts about San Francisco and the areas visited with a fun, energetic tour guide. These are not meant to be overly strenuous but are catered to active individuals. I am CPR Certified, a Boston Marathon qualifier and have been training all levels of runners for years. This tour is perfect for anyone from beginners to advanced runners.
Depending on the desired distance and difficulty level, the route will vary but it will always include San Francisco landmarks that out-of-towners will want to see (think: Ferry Building, Golden Gate Bridge, Golden Gate Park, Ocean Beach, Coit Tower, the Castro, etc.). All runs are tailored to the group for speed and obstacles (SF hills not required-but if you want to tackle one, let's do it!)
This tour encourages a street level method of seeing the city with someone who has an intimate knowledge of San Francisco geography and neighborhoods while getting in a good workout. Be prepared to have fun and get sweaty!
If you have a preferred time but do not see one available, send an email with this information and it can possibly be coordinated.
I went for my first run in San Francisco during a visit in 2009. After ending up at Twin Peaks overlooking the city and the bay, I immediately fell in love with the area. Six months later I moved here and have been running all over ever since. By day I am an office manager for a hospitality software start up. In my spare time I am a run buddy, going on short or longer runs with friends to help them be active (and in return staying very active myself). It's a passion that I want to try my hand at earning a living doing because to me running and San Francisco are simply the best. Full profile ⋅ Leave a Review
