Are you a runner? Visiting San Francisco and want to get a run in but want to expand your horizons beyond the hotel zones of Union Square and Fisherman's Wharf? Let's do a run together and really see the city.....! Running in SF is unique among American cities as you have a great combination of urban routes, trail runs, beach and bay vistas....and, a personal favorite, hills!
I'll put together a run (or a walk) for you based on your preferences in terms of distance, pace, time available. SF is about 7 square miles so one can cover a lot of the city in a short amount of time. Perimeter run covering Ocean Beach, Lands End, Presidio, Golden Gate Bridge, Crissy Field, etc.. Ferry Building to Filbert Street Steps and Coit Tower to North Beach to Chinatown to Nob Hill to Russian Hill to Pacific Heights to Presidio to Baker Beach to Seacliff. Outer Sunset and Ocean Beach to Twin Peaks to the Castro to Noe Valley to the Mission to Potrero Hill to Dogpatch to Third Street to Ferry Building. SF to Tiburon and take the ferry home!
Your run (or walk) can be tailored to your preferences. One, two, three or more hours duration.....San Francisco only or San Francisco across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito and Tiburon.....Casual pace and route allowing for several foodie and tourist destinations....Etc....let me know!
I've lived in San Francisco since 1995 and have been running marathons since 1999. I'm married. Work as a social worker. We have a cat. How did I get into running? My mother--she decided she wanted to run the NYC Marathon in the late 1990's so that inspired a few of her kids to get in shape and join her...and we did! I still run marathons and I run and walk in SF and environs every week, enjoying the city, the nature, the people and the food...join me! Full profile ⋅ Leave a Review
