The labyrinthine Albayzin is one of the oldest district in Europe still standing, and is also almost a self-contained town in itself, whose popular intimate and welcoming character has been preserved for over a thousand years.
The Albayzin is near to the most emblematic neighborhood of Granada, The Sacromonte, where the gypsies used to live. Their most known legacy, albeit only a part of their rich culture, is the Flamenco: dances and songs that are traditionally shown in caves called Zambras.
We will meet both districts, The Albayzin with its medieval walls and churches, convents, palaces. . . and of course the Mirador de St. Nicholas, and its famous view in front of the Alhambra and the Sierra Nevada mountains.
Along the walkway-viewpont we can see those homes that have been fascinating travelers for around two centuries: the cave- houses of Sacromonte, where the Granada gypsies settled in the 18th century.

I am going to pick you up at your hotel and we are going to the Albaizyn district by foot and there we will able yo enjoy a lovely view of Granada.
We will continue our visit through the mythical district to Sacromonte.
We are finishing our tour in "Zambra Maria La Canastera", then we are returning to your hotel or to the city city center.

Please Note:
The Flamenco's Show in "Tablao Jardines de Zoraya" (20 euros with a drink per person), is optional, we can visit Albaicin and Sacromonte without seeing any show.
The Flamenco Show starts at 8 PM.
The Flamenco ticktes are "extras", you should pay it after the show.

Welcome to Granada the city of the amazing Alhambra Palaces. I´m Gaby and I live in Granada. I´ve studied and trained to recive my degree in tourism since 1993. With several years experience touring people in Latinoamerica and Europe, I love Granada and Andalucia, the ancient history and mythology of its cities and towns, its changing landscape, full of mountains, forests and streams. There is no day that I can't get excited when I walk through the streets and suddenly, unexpectedly the Alhambra appears, the fortress of the talking walls and singing waters, one of the monuments with more soul in the world, whose rough stone keeps in its most sublime inner beauty. And what I like most is that I can share these feelings and engage with all those who always want new experiences and thus enrich their restless spirits. As your private tour guide, I'm flexible and adapt to your schedule, activities and meeting place . Please let me know about any special request you have. Granada inherited the charm of Al-Andalus, come and enjoy your visit without missing a thing! Full profile Leave a Review
