Monday, december 23th – day one: Buenos Aires.
In the morning, walking tour of the historic city centre. You will be led through the heart of Buenos Aires’ most important buildings, institutions and sites, and illustrated about the Nation birth and Argentina’s identity. Our guide will meet us at the corner of Hipólito Yrigoyen and Balcarce, and our tour will begin in Plaza de Mayo, a place where we will appreciate important monuments, witnesses of several demonstrations and historical milestones, essential to our country’s history. The historic city centre provides a unique testimony of the architectural revolution carried out at the turn of the 19th century. The Paris-inspired Avenida the Mayo, which also resembles Madrid’s Gran Vía, is a perfect example of this revolution. We will walk Avenida de Mayo from its beginnig to its end, admire its beautiful buildings and visit the first Latin American subway, which runs under it. There will also be time to have a cup of coffee in one of Buenos Aires’ most typical cafes, once the meeting point of intellectuals and important characters of the past century. Our tour will end in one of the city’s most intriguing buildings: the Palacio Barolo. Built upon Dante’s Divine Comedy, this wonderful building offers fantastic views of the city, and is ideal to end up our tour right at the heart of Buenos Aires. Tuesday, december 24th – day two: Buenos Aires.
In the morning, bike tour to the northern area of the city. A ride through Retiro, Barrio Parque, Palermo Parks, Palermo Soho, Recoleta’s Cemetery. During this roughly 4-hour tour we will pedal through the city most aristocratic quarters, as well
as through the edgiest. Besides, we will explore one of Buenos Aires’ biggest green areas. The meeting point is Avenida Santa Fe 702 corner of Maipú (Museo de Armas
del Círculo Militar), at the arranged time.
Wenesday, december 25th – day three: Buenos Aires.
Thursday, december 26th – day four: Buenos Aires – Iguazú
Reception at Puerto Iguazú airport and transfer to your accommodation in Puerto Iguazú. 3 (three) nights accommodation double standard room (category:inn) b/b.
Friday, december 27th – day five: Iguazú
In the morning, full day visit to Iguazú National Park. Raft rowing tour in the upper area of the Iguazú river is included.
Saturday, december 28th – day six: Iguazú Antropologic tour, to get to know what it means to live in a frontier city, next to Brazil and Paraguay. We will learn about its origins, its ethnic and linguistic conformation, its production system and exchange. Hito Tres Fronteras, Native Art, Myths and Legends, Magic and Religion. Includes lunch / snack. Finally, we visit the Guarani Yryapú community. An authentic experience, that aims the respectful contact with native culture.
Sunday, december 29th – day seven: Iguazú – Buenos Aires
Transfer to Puerto Iguazú airport.
Monday, december 30th – day eight: Buenos Aires
Visit to artists’ workshops in Abasto. This tour is an invitation to discover the studios of the artists who live and work in the Abasto, an area where you can feel history, tango and art in every corner. A unique experience that allows tourists to share with the artists, opening dialogues with them and offering the possibility to acquire artworks at their workshops. With a guide specialised in art, this 3-hour tour will take us through the most typical areas in the Abasto in order to immerse us in some of the cultural, architectural and historical aspects of one of the city’s most iconic areas. Our tour will start at the Museo Casa Carlos Gardel, a very interesting place in which the cultural legacy and works of the famous singer and songwriter Carlos Gardel are kept. We will then move on to Jean Jaures street, to fully appreciate
some works of “fileteado porteño”, a Buenos Aires typical artstyle displayed in the houses’ facades. We will also visit the Pasaje Zelaya, an alley full of tango, with murals painted by the famous artist Marino Santamarina. Besides, we will appreciate the exterior of the former Abasto market, now a shopping mall. To finish this urban cultural circuit, we will visit some of the workshops of artists who live and work in this
traditional neighborhood. Meeting point: Museo Casa Carlos Gardel (transfers to and from the hotel not included).
Tuesday, december 31 st – day nine: Buenos Aires
