This is not just a cooking lesson but a complete experience on Sardinian food culture. A fun way to discover and enjoy our island through the guidance of your chef Ivo, who will entertain you and tell you all about local products and how Sardinians like them.
You will not only use your hands to cook but also learn how to present courses in a beautiful way, enrich flavours with simple ingredients and match the right wines and dishes.
The tour will start with a walking tour of Cagliari stunning food market: San Benedetto. You will have fun selecting the ingredients for your cooking lesson in this colourful and loud
covered market with beautiful fish, vegetable and cheese displays.
Some of products used in your lesson, like the home made olive oil are carefully selected by your Chef Ivo and they come from Escolca a tiny village in the center of the island where Ivo's parents live.
The courses can be held “wherever you are” (villa, apartment, boat etc..) or in a private home in Cagliari, where you will also enjoy the exquisite meal you and Ivo prepared.
At the end of the lesson you will enjoy a beautiful meal with the dishes you and Ivo prepared and you will receive a printed souvenir with the recipes of the dishes you cooked and the best tips on how to reproduce them at home.
Your cooking lesson could focus on meat, fish, vegetarian dishes or Sardinian fresh pasta making, according to the produce seasonality, best ingredients available on the day and, off course, your interests.
