A free form meander through the streets of NYC. The focus is on small markets such as spice shops, farmers markets, community gardens and the waterfront....the bits of nature to be found in NYC.
Snacks and good coffee (or tea, or wine!) are available throughout the walk (cost not included.) Along the way we might see a cool herb shop, an ancient cemetery, a vintage shop spilling out onto the sidewalk, a flea market, a gallery and many other curiosities off -the-beaten path.
These walks are long and you'll need comfortable shoes. I'm flexible as to the speed of walking but it's good to prepare for a strenuous walk so we can see a lot!
I will take one person but require a minimum $150 fee.
I'm a decorative painter and a graphic designer/illustrator. I walk, hike and bicycle everywhere. I love the outdoors in the country as well as the city. I travel a lot to explore and always appreciate "insider" advice. Fresh, local food, wild food, organic farming and the environment are important to me. I love to forage for wild foods, especially mushrooms. I love meeting people and share all my great finds ranging around NYC! Full profile ⋅ Leave a Review
