Hike the great outdoors of Lane County, Oregon including Cascade Mountains, Coast Range and Oregon Coast. Or enjoy local hikes in Eugene and Springfield. Each season offers unique treats. Cross-country skiing in winter, wildflowers in spring and summer, wild edible mushrooms and berries in the fall.

I'm the Eagle Scout and Fulbright Scholar your mother warned you about. The outdoors are my home and I have led hundreds of friends and strangers on hikes across Oregon and around the world. Yes I can make fire with sticks. The trip will be tailored to your time frame and desired activities.

Example attractions and activities: hunting chanterelle mushrooms, waterfall viewing, cross country skiing to Odell Lake overlook on the Pacific Crest Trail, wildflower viewing on Iron Mountain or Mount June, tide pools and wild mussel harvesting and cooking near Cape Perpetua, lessons on fire making, traditional Maori flax weaving, views of Central Oregon Cascades, cooking lessons on wild edibles. Easy, moderate or difficult ability levels.

If trip requires additional license or equipment (cross country ski, shellfish license), guests must pay own cost. I can fit up to 3 passengers in my car or we can take yours. We can meet in Eugene or in location near hike such as Oakridge, Florence or at trailhead.

Guests must be prepared to dress for weather conditions and activities and provide own lunch if doing a lunchtime trip. I work a regular day job and can usually lead trips nights or weekends but for groups of four or more can also do weekday trips.
