Cycling Trip to Abandoned Army Base

with Stefan

Another trip which I'd like to offer people who love cycling and the beautiful nature. This time it's on the other side of Sofia.
So, the meeting place will be again wherever you like and then we'll take one of the main velo alley of the city which will lead us to the beggining of a small but beautiful mountain. After a stage of climbing up through a spectacular hills and forests we'll reach the top of the mountain where is situated abandoned army base - live symbol of a cold war. It's really interesting place - so beautiful nature and view to Sofia, but in the same time a little bit creepy.
Then in the end is time to raise adrenaline - on the way back we'll take an asphalt road that gives us opportunity for a good speed down the hill.

I was born and grew up in the beautiful city of Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. I have a Bachelor's degree in Cultural-historical heritage, and master's degree in Cultural tourism. Now I'm studying for another master degree in "Urban studies". In the last few years I've spent a lot of my time exploring my country and I've found a lot of spectacular places which I'm excited to share with curious travelers. I'm passionate about cycling and prefer to do trips by bikes. I drive as well and love hiking and kayaking, so I'm ready to explore by any mode of travel. Last year I bought a two-seated kayak and i got also a car so if you prefere some of these ways of exploring Bulgaria - I'm always ready! Full profile Leave a Review
