I'm passionate about voyaging and the sailing lifestyle, and living and working on boats around the world. I grew up sailing and racing small boats, and I have just returned from a year long cruise in Alsager to Mexico's Gold Coast and the Sea of Cortez with my wife, young son, and dog Noah on board. In the last year and half I have sailed over 10,000 miles, including a passage from Hawaii to Seattle. Prior to departing, I spent many years working around the world for America's Cup Race Management, setting courses for the race yachts.

Great adventure indeed. Stay in the bay if you can unless you're used to really high waves. Evan is super nice and very informative. Make sure you bring drinks and snacks and kind of know what you want to do or see. It was a nice addition to our Frisco trip.

This was by far one of the most amazing experiences I have had here in the bay area. I booked the Alsager for my boyfriend's birthday. We set sail in Sausalito and crossed under the Golden Gate just as the sun was setting! Captain Evan and his trusty first mate Noah the salty dog are extremely hospitable and friendly with decades of sailing experience! My boyfriend was very impressed and happy! We are going to book them again in November for his parents visit to the USA! Thank you Evan and Noah, see you soon!

Trying to take first time sailing lessons in the San Francisco bay may seem nerve racking to you. It’s not if you a have Evan as your teacher and captain. He makes you feel comfortable from the minute you step onto his boat. You will feel at ease when you are steering the vessel on your first day! His patience with explaining something you might not get the first time around is exactly what made my first lesson valuable and fun.

Evan is calm, careful, and patient. That was exactly what I needed as a first time sailor in a very busy and turbulent bay like San Francisco's. He takes his job very seriously and has a refreshing hands-on approach. If you're new to sailing, you will be safe, and happy, with Captain Evan. I promise!

Part of living in a sailing community like Sausalito means you have to try to learn how to sail. that was one of my goals when i decided to experience life in this very quaint town. Far different from New York City, the place I call home, yet somehow I am loving it! Capt. Evan makes learning how to sail easy. His teaching approach is highly hands on. Teaching theory and applying it directly as we sail around the Bay makes the entire lesson digestible and retainable. He also makes sure that his students have a lot of fun while learning!

I gathered a crew of former New Yorkers for an afternoon to enjoy views of San Francisco, its gorgeous scenic topography from the water, sunset and the famous kite races that happen every other Thursday from Spring to Fall. It was a BLAST! Capt. Evan's confidence, his knowledge base in sailing and the Bay and fun approach made our adventure a memorable experience. I will definitely be back on the beautiful Alsager for another voyage!

Evan was our captain during an afternoon sail in the Bay -- one of the most memorable days I've had in the city in my five years here. We had perfect weather, and a pleasant afternoon going through the Golden Gate Bridge and watching the kite surfing race. Evan is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and professional, and was more than happy to walk us through the basics of sailing.
